Scanning the code to control your suite TVs
Each suite's TV can display its own QR code to scan. Printed cards still work, and remain valid until the next 3:00 AM code change.
A suite code opens a controller for that suite's TVs on your own phone. There is no app to install, nothing to sign in to, and no PIN.
Where to find the code
- On the TV. Where your venue has set this up, each suite's TV shows that suite's own QR code on screen. The code on the screen is always the current one.
- On a printed card. Venues can print a card per suite. Both routes lead to the same controller.
Point your phone's camera at the code, open the link, and tap Start.
How long a code lasts
- Codes change automatically every day at 3:00 AM, your venue's local time. A game that runs past 3 AM is not interrupted: the previous code keeps working for a short grace period.
- A printed card stays valid until the next 3:00 AM change. After that, use the code on the TV, or ask venue staff for a freshly printed card.
- The code shown on the TV updates itself, so it is always current.
- Each phone session lasts up to 12 hours, and up to 12 phones can control one suite at once. If your session ends, scan again.
If the code doesn't work
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "This code has been replaced" | The printed card is from before the last 3:00 AM change | Scan the code on the suite TV, or ask for a fresh card |
| The camera doesn't open anything | The phone camera app isn't reading QR codes | Open the camera app's QR setting, or type the short link under the code |
| A tap says the TV didn't accept it | Commands were sent too quickly together | Wait a second and tap again — see Rapid taps on the TV controls may be declined |
A code never contains a login or a token. If a printed card is lost or photographed, your venue administrator can retire it immediately from the admin area.
