A BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) control platform purpose-built for premium hospitality spaces in professional sports venues. Suite attendants issue QR codes on a per-event basis. Guests scan, authenticate, and gain real-time control of their suite's AV environment — no training, no hardware, no friction.

Scan the QR Code

Suite attendants generate a unique QR code for each event. Guests scan with any smartphone camera — no app download, no account creation. The code is scoped to a specific suite and valid only for that event.

Open the Controller

The scan opens a branded, mobile-optimized web interface tailored to the guest's suite. The controller displays all available endpoints — TVs, audio zones, lighting presets — organized by room or zone, with controls matched to guest-level permissions.

Control in Real Time

Change IPTV channels, adjust volume per audio zone, switch display inputs, power screens on or off — all in real time. Commands propagate to AV endpoints within milliseconds over the venue's local network. No cloud latency.

Channel Control

Guests browse and select from the venue's full IPTV channel lineup. Channel changes are issued directly to BrightSign or Cisco DMP endpoints over the local multicast fabric — sub-second response, no buffering, no transcoding.

Volume & Audio Zones

Per-zone volume control for suites with multiple audio outputs. CastControl interfaces with Q-SYS, Biamp, or other DSP platforms to provide granular level adjustment without exposing the complexity of the underlying audio matrix.

Display Power & Input Switching

Power individual displays on or off and switch between HDMI, IPTV, and auxiliary inputs. CastControl communicates with displays via CEC, RS-232, or IP control protocols, abstracted behind a clean mobile interface.

Scheduling & Event Scoping

QR codes and guest sessions are scoped per event. Administrators define event windows, and CastControl automatically provisions and deprovisions access. Suites reset to default states between events — no manual cleanup required.

Admin Dashboard

A dedicated administrative interface for venue operations teams. Manage controller assignments, monitor endpoint health, view session activity in real time, and configure suite layouts. Bulk operations enable efficient game-day management across dozens of suites.

Role-Based Access Control

Three-tier RBAC model: guests receive scoped control of their assigned suite, attendants manage QR provisioning and can override guest actions, and operations staff have full administrative access across all suites and system configuration.

Technical Architecture

Built for venue infrastructure.

CastControl is engineered for the constraints of live venue environments — on-prem reliability, low-latency control, and integration with existing AV and network infrastructure.

Deployment Model

Phase 1 deployment runs entirely on-premises via Docker Compose, eliminating cloud dependencies for real-time control operations. The containerized architecture runs on commodity server hardware within the venue's existing compute environment. A cloud migration path is architected for centralized fleet management across multi-venue operators.
